A little known fact is that these movies were all filmed in Italy... Thus giving them the title of "spaghetti westerns". I grew up in Colorado next to the foothills outside of Denver and for the life of me, I cannot tell the difference....

What is even more interesting is that most of the American Westerns at the time were being filmed in Hollywood studios and sound stages. These were actually live on location in the rugged country.

I can still see the look on Tuco's face in the GB&U at the last gunfight when he realizes his gun had no bullets in it. And the way Clint just silently switches chewing his cigar from one side of his mouth to the other....

I am gonna have to go watch it now......

It's not the new year yet, but it seems like a good time to give thanks.

Long story short, I've had a good year. Great job, short commute, and dating again. I've become focused, but with great flexibility. I'm not sweating the big stuff, or the small stuff. The good stuff is in the middle.
