Submission + - Oracle not moving from Xen to KVM (

GPLHost-Thomas writes: "In 2008, Red Hat announced that they would drop support for the Xen hypervisor with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 and Fedora 12 in favor of Kernel Based Virtual Machine (KVM). [3 years later] Wim Coekaerts blog, replying to comments made on the 2.12 announcement, provides the following incite to the answer “kvm is unrelated to oraclevm. we ship xen as part of oracle vm and that's that. even if we upgrade to newer kernels for the management domain that's unrelated to kvm. we continue to improve Oracle VM, add features, make it easier and we make sure that what's under the covers is enterprise quality, stable and production capable.” There is no compelling event for Oracle to move from Xen!"
