  • was the only show on Fox the Notorious E M watched.

Now that channel is completely useless to me.

    Screw them.
    • I feel you dawg if they get rid of 24 they won't have anything for me.

I watched John Doe a few times. It was alright. Sorta like pretender only not nearly as good.
  • They can't afford to have a main character (John Doe) who's seen as smarter than their viewers. The show's probably too intelligent for the average viewer...or the average executive.

What about CSI and Law and Order : Criminal Intent? Both wildly popular showcases for the intelligence of their main characters.

      • I watch those all the time. Are they on Fox? I get them on CTV. But I don't keep track of which channels belong to which networks.

        /me checks Fox's page

        Hmmm...reality show...reality show...dysfunctional high school...reality show...mindless comedy...reality show...

Doesn't look like Fox has much in the way of intellectual TV.

        • Ah, you were commenting on Fox specifically. Gotcha. Thought you were generalizing.

Somebody please dear god explain Malcolm in the Middle to me. I mean, does it just not do commercials well? I watched the commercials for the season finale with the moronic father strapped to a backboard screaming "I'm coming Lois, I'm coming!" while trying to ride a bicycle and was amazed at how offensively stupid it looked. Then again I suppose some people can say the same thing about The Simpsons.)

  • ...Fastlane was a good one. I didn't watch it religiously (okay, so I maybe saw one or two episodes), but it was a fun show to watch, the action was good, the eye candy was good. It was good "remove brain before viewing" entertainment. I was more interested in that show than a lot of others on the tee-vee.

Oh, well. I'll just have to make do with whatever I got on TiVo. Good Eats marathon, anyone? Family Guy? Mister Rogers? (oops, that last one is for the kids... :)

  • I haven't seen any ads for it in months, and the only episode I ever saw was the first one. Figured it had been cancelled a long time ago.
