Journal FortKnox's Journal: Another Book Entry... 2

Well, while at my parents house for Christmas, I noticed my father had quite a collection of SciFi books. I stole (with permission) a copy of his "Robot Visions" book, which is a collection of Asimov stories.
But the day after Christmas I finally went to see LOTR. Now I'm thinking that I need to go back and reread the trilogy again, and get back into it...

Another Book Entry...

  • Having read The Hobbit, LOTR, The Silmarillion, and The Book of Lost Tales (three times all the way thru for The Hobbit and LOTR trilogy), I do have to say that the books are well worth the read over the movie. And yet, the movie was absolutely phenomenal! It captured all the elements needed to adequately tell the story in a condensed time. I think the movies will beat out Star Wars as my favorite 3-act movie of all time!

Anyways, being a long time Tolkien fan, I have to say that the books are still well worth the read even though the 1st movie is easily worth the $8.00 to see it on the big screen. (It's even worth $16 to see it twice on the big screen before it goes to DVD ;)

I have a theory that it's impossible to prove anything, but I can't prove it.
