Here's a neat little app (well, a link to Jack William Bell's Journal that links to the app) that allows you to build your own solar system. Simple, neat, and easy UI, GPL'ed (so you can add more to it). Only problem I have is its written in OCAML. Maybe I'll port this sucker to Java...

I've always liked this little app [colorado.edu] as well that simulates the Earth and Moon and lets you launch little satellites to see the combined effects of gravity from the two larger bodies.

I remember it getting pretty damn hard after 2 plantes...
