+ - California considers banning black cars->

Submitted by
Em Emalb
Em Emalb writes "I had to double-check today's date, but California is considering banning "dark hued" cars to help reduce the state's carbon footprint. Apparently, CARB (that's the California Air Resources Board) has done studies that indicate "the climate control systems of dark colored cars need to work harder than their lighter siblings — especially after sitting in the sun for a few hours."

Next step: Ban that pesky black asphalt."
