Draconi writes "While recently traveling to China I logged onto the net from the Narita airport while I waited for my connection. Hoping to check up on Facebook, I instead discovered an absurdly draconian account verification system that uses profile pictures from your "friends" list to validate that I am, in fact, who I think I am. Needless to say I failed miserably — I have over 300 contacts on Facebook, and many of them are gamers who're using totally abstract art or screenshots to represent themselves.
Facebook seems to make contacting any sort of customer service department difficult, instead bidding me to wait an hour so I can fail, again, and again, and again.
Oh great and wise Slashdot, any thoughts on accessing my account? Also, what do you think about the validity of this kind of account verification system? Too clever for us poor humans?"
