Submission + - Reiser Case Takes Strange Twist

Piracy Support Line writes: "Wired is reporting that the murder trial of Hans Reiser, creator of the ReiserFS filesystem, has taken a very strange turn after Sean Sturgeon, a former boyfriend of the late Nina Reiser confessed to being a serial killer. Apparently, he claimed to have killed at least eight and possibly nine people in retaliation for abuse he suffered as a child. However, Mr. Sturgeon still denies having had anything to do with the disappearance of Mrs. Reiser, the murders are not believed to be related to this case, and he has not yet been arrested."

halo5 writes: "Reiser Prosecution Jolt: Victim's Ex-Lover Confesses to Eight Killings:

"A former lover of the missing wife of Linux programmer and accused spouse killer Hans Reiser has confessed to killing eight people unrelated to the case, prosecutors informed the defense last week.

Sean Sturgeon, a one-time friend of Reiser's, had already been a focus of the defense team's efforts to shift suspicion off Reiser in the disappearance of his estranged wife, Nina Reiser. Sturgeon's alleged confession to a series of unrelated murders will likely complicate the trial, which is set to begin Monday."

This boyfriend, Sean Sturgeon, has admitted to killing eight people. But he denies killing Nina. The case keeps getting weirder and weirder. But this is good news for Hans. Submission + - Michael S. Dell uses Ubuntu on home laptop

MZoom writes: With all the news reported about pre-installed Linux on Dell machines I thought it intertesting enough to blog about the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Dell uses Ubuntu on his Dell M90 at home.

Of course one can read it for themselves at Michael Dell's executive bio page.

This makes me wonder if Mr. Dell uses Ubuntu at home because of it's merits or just to help market Linux on a Dell.

Submission + - One of Michael Dell's laptop runs Ubuntu 7.04

feranick writes: Are you curious to see what computers Michael Dell is using? In his official webpage you can find some interesting surprises: at home he uses a Precision M90 laptop running Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (7.04). Don't get too excited though. He also has gaming desktops and laptops, workstation and ultraportable laptops running Windows. Nevertheless, it's quite remarkable that the Linux-powered laptop is the first and featured in his page and the only one with the OS is highlighted under a different category, "Software".
