New Oddworld Games In Development 36

Game developer Just Add Water announced today that the Oddworld series, dormant since 2005, will be getting multiple new titles in the near future. Quoting: "... for the past 12 months we have been working extremely closely with the fantastic people at Oddworld Inhabitants, from what started off as brief discussions in June 2009, to now working on multiple projects, across multiple platforms. Whilst we cannot go into specifics right now, we can tell you that over the coming weeks and months we will be announcing these exciting projects starring all of your favorite Oddworld characters."

First Review of the Linux-based RAZR2 V8

Provataki writes "OSNews published a review of the first phone of the second generation RAZR line, the Linux-based V8, which is the device that marks Motorola's first major effort in the smartphone market. This is the first phone that will be supported by the new native SDK of their MotoMAGX platform, that will be released next year and will transform their (newer) Linux phones to smartphones. The reviewer found the V8 to be one of the most beautiful phones ever created, albeit the lack of a cardslot might be a problem for some even if it comes with 512 MB internal storage."

Anonymous Coward writes "A Python Powered social network visualization system was demonstrated at the Webjam awards in Perth, West Australia last Wednesday evening. A 3 minute presentation of the software, called 'ICCARUS' was enough to win first place, by a public vote. The developers have put together a screencast to give a better idea of what ICCARUS can do. I do wonder if this software could scale and visualize a facebook dataset?"
