An anonymous reader writes "Here on Slashdot we have seen an auction of the only English version of Final Fantasy 2 NES Cartridge sell for $50K and the Legend of Zelda NES Nintendo Prototype go for an outstanding 150k and that barmy million dollar plus auction of complete game sets and consoles. How much then would you think a Sega Pluto which is a Sega Saturn variant of which only 2 are known to exist, the auction on Ebay ended at $15.500 but didnt hit the reserve price. How much is possibly one of the rarest consoles in the world worth ?"

Originally brought in Japan so dont expect a release overseas."

This week Nintendo president Satoru Iwata "Some have the misunderstanding that Wii U is just Wii with a pad for games, and others even consider Wii U GamePad as a peripheral device connectable to Wii.", this has prompted the likes of Amazon and Asda in the UK to drop the price of the Basic WiiU package down to £149, will this be enough to shift the console in big numbers ?"

This follows other games such as Half Life which whilst never officially released was leaked some years ago."

WiiU News has a video of the homebrew game Connect 4 working on the WiiU via the consoles Wii Mode and Comex's "Stack Smash" exploit. Recently released emulators that were released for the Wii and will also work using this method include emulators for systems such as Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo and Nes."

Android News has found an Android Tablet that sells for a measly 50 Dollars, for that you get a 7 Inch screen, Front Facing Camera, 4GB of Expandable Storage and an OS running Android 2.2 Froyo. For that price though do you get a usable Tablet ?"

The Kindle Fire HD has a new build, much improved display, front facing camera. Its taller than the original Kindle Fire (7.6 Inches) and a little wider (5.4 Inches), slimmer and lighter, yet the actual screen size is bigger. Amazon are also releasing a slightly more powerful original Kindle Fire for Europe and the UK."

Nintendo to counter this have announced a new $129 hardware bundle that includes a black Wii console as well as Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, finally Sony have released their Superslim PS3 with 12GB of Flash Memory with a price of £159."

Croakyvoice (986312) writes "Announced on Slashdot a few weeks ago the new entry level 12GB PS3 Superslim has been released, the latest iteration of the Playstation 3 has Flash memory instead of a hard drive although you can easily add a larger hardrive via a caddy. Instead of a disc fed tray you now get a top loading machine. The 12GB version is at the moment just for the Europe/Australian Regions with a price aimed at those on a lower budget and to intice more of the casual gamer market."

Sony claim the console is now 25% lighter and smaller than their previous versions. The new PS3 Superslim has had a redesigned internal design architecture and removed the disc-fed tray and replaced it with a sliding top-loading disk cover. The price of the 12GB version is a wallet friendly £159 compared to the release of the 500GB version of the PS3 Superslim a few weeks ago which retails at £229."
