+ - Open-source Web-based Diagramming Tools?

ColoradoRancher writes "We use wiki's a lot where I work, to do collaborative design, for on-line user manuals, for support, you name it. But one thing that we've found missing is the ability to do on-line diagram editing. Since we're an engineering team, pictures really are worth a thousand words.

Thus we'd like to integrate a diagramming tool into our wiki. All we've found so far is a very nice but not entirely-free one: Gliffy [gliffy.com] . The real problem for us is that our diagrams would be stored outside of our servers, and that's a major problem for us and our corporate overlords.

Thus I ask: is there an open-source web-based diagram editing tool available, of the likes of Gliffy?"

Optimization hinders evolution.
