I'm IT for a company that does this for 95% of dev/test/qa systems. It's worked out pretty well. Most servers are spun up and then chef'ed, used, then deleted after tests/whetever are complete. We do keep our code in house. SVN/GIT/ and Jenkins along with server build farms are all in house. The cloud services are expensive, but since IT has automated the deployment process for the cloud hosts, it works out better than keeping enough hardware in house to meed all test/qa needs. Plus less hardware in house equals less admin time which is a plus for us.
I wonder if we could get I.T. work designated as a manufacturing product also. Have Government slap a tax on outsourced IT work.... I'd like that alot.
Because the mayors of town centers want the business and all the revenue it brings inside the city. The suburbs may be a whole other municipality and city. Just follow the money.
They do this in Miami also. Every lic plate is scanned for toll by plate. Very easy to believe that vehicle data is stored and can be searched later for patterns.... or instant hits are recorded when searching for specific cars.
Back-into the parking space so your lic plate is not facing out. At least make the cop get up out of his car to get your info.
The ability to remote wipe a phone is not complicated. But ATT/Verizon/etc do not want to implement that feature since they make millions from selling us 'phone insurance products' to do these jobs at a premium.
If you are running drugs for $10mil a month.... feds/gov bust you, seize all your stuff, and you go to jail. but If you are a bank making $10 Bil a month and defraud the whole world and almost destroy the global economy.... feds/gov slap you with a fine for 10% of 1 years profits.... So crime is ok as long as the government gets it cut.
Probably not since There will be no reduction in competition... Comcast and TW do not compete in very many areas.... thus the consolidation will (for the most part) neither increase or decrease competition. What it will do is give comcast for leverage when making deals with the content providers.
I wouldn't call that guy a hacker.... just an ex employee with access. Plus he was dumb enough to do the breakin from his home's network connection.
It does exist now.... The new hyundai models come with the Blu-Link bullcrap that allows the Blu-Link operator to remotely shut off your engine. There's no way to disable it because the system ties into the onboard computer....
Ulmic Thogu the fighter lights his torch and takes lead, followed by the cleric, magic user, halfling thief, and the paladin brings up the rear. They proceed into the cave.
We've been using teamviewer for a while.... i wasn't aware of that restriction with the new version. Looks like I'll also have to drop them as well.
So wouldn't the terrorists just resort to dropbox and notepad? Maybe everyone's dropbox contents should be indexed....just in case. Besides, what terrorist would continually use the same email address anyway.... seems like a pretty stupid terrorist would... that's who.
If your large bank is caught laundering money, the Feds won't send you to jail... Instead they levy a fine that takes a small percentage of the profits. Basically, if the Feds catch you, you have to give them their 'cut'.
