Chacham's Journal: Comment got modded down (again). 9

Journal by Chacham

Offtopic and Overrated. I am beginning to find this funny. I don't know what my karma is (probably between 45 and 50), but it really doesn't bother me much anymore. It does a bit, but not too much. ...There I just turned off Comment Moderation Messages. (While I was there I also turned off MetaModeration results, and turned on Bad login attempt warnings.) Now I won't know when someone is after me. :)

Apparently you need to be in a particular range of page-load frequencies, or so Taco said at some point - no point giving mod points to someone who only visits once a week, even if they're at the karma cap, and y

  • i think that they weren't very interesting posts, and that both deserved the mods they got.
  • I dunno, like all trolls, they like the suffering of others.

the first post wasn't really that on-topic. my guess is that it wouldn't have been moderated down at all if you had turned your karma bonus off.

the second one was an opinion (a reasonable opinion, whether people agree with you or not) in your own journal that related well to the topic of said journal. it shouldn't have been moderated down, but some people find it easier to argue with mod points than words.
  • My soul weeps for you.

Would you like some cheese with that whine?
