Yeah, I'm a newbie.

By the way, (if anyone ever reads this) do comments stay around forever? The /. FAQ says that you can't edit/delete comments once you post them, because they want it to work like a real conversation. It seems that if discussions get archived so you can't add to them and they stay there forever, the idea of just clarifying yourself later doesn't hold completely.

Real life conversations don't sit on web servers forever without the chance to add to them, unless someone records it. I guess you can always journal, but you can't expect everyone that skims over an old discussion to read the journals of everyone that posted.

(I'm not criticizing, I'm just asking and learning how things work here.)
