I guess my slashdot fate has been decided

I have now accepted the fact that I will forever be seen as a slashdot "class clown". Sure, about 95% of what I post is some sort of attempt at humour, most of which is, thankfully, reasonably successful. But even that stuff gets a "funny" mod. This one and to a lesser extent this one are examples of what I am on about. What gives? Moderators must be reviewing posting history before actually moderating individual posts. I see this as a gross abuse of moderation rights. A post should be moderated on the merits of its content. its relevance to the story in which it is posted, and it's relevance to the parent comment, not on the poster's history. I think there should be a "Moderator's profile", in which user identification, sig display, and current score display are all disabled. Thoughts anyone? In any case, I am unlikely to ever post anything but a humourous post ever again. I am a clown, and as far as I can tell, that is my place in this community. I don't want to upset the status quo.
