BLKMGK writes: "There's not much detail but the idea selling this as "additional security" by reducing the "need to remember dozens of passwords online" smells an awful lot like they want a single ID upon which to track everyone. This is part of a policy dubbed "National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace". Apparently NSA and Homeland Security lost the lottery to run this turkey and the Department of Commerce will get the prize."
