When we inevitable lose the battle (the government does have a tendency to get their way in these things), do we get to reap the benefits of a total information society? I mean, will there be a searchable database where I can find out where I left my keys? That link to that awesome video i saw on sometube.com that i can't remember? If i remembered to feed the cat?

The hacker community is primarily a male dominated space, therefore it must be hostile and problematic, shitlord!

Perhaps we should start marketing the term "hackette", and include a pen-test ISO image with every Barbie Thumb Drive.

Seems to be the desperate approach in CS-land.

Those Barbie thumb drives already have them. Not my fault you haven't discovered it yet.

No, it all came down to price, not multitasking. There was never an argument that CLI was better than a GUI except from neckbeards and bean counters. Average slobs knew the GUI was better. It took from 1984 until the early 90's for the hard to get cheap enough to tolerably run a GUI OS.
