After the disaster that was Age of Conan I will not be folling a Funcom MMO for a looong time. If they manage to pull a quality product out of their ass then good for them, I'll try a 14 day trial at some point. No more waiting 2 years to be disappointed in a game that promises so much and delivers so very little.
Given the fact that communication is 55% Body Language, 38% Verbal, and 7% the actual words used, how does this work? Over the phone has got to be tough enough given that you are missing 55% of communication. Perhaps they'll use vent?
According to a new study, if everyone else was committing a crime, you would too, at least if you are a boy. The 20-year study showed what every grandmother could tell you; children from poor families, with inadequate supervision and bad friends were more likely to end up in juvenile court. What was more surprising is that exposure to the juvenile justice system seemed to increase the chance that the boy would engage in criminal activity as a young adult. "For boys who had been through the juvenile justice system, compared to boys with similar histories without judicial involvement, the odds of adult judicial interventions increased almost seven-fold," says study co-author Richard E. Tremblay.
Since this is Japan are we sure that they won't be cybernetic super fish? All hail the new fish overlords!
I was thinking of the one for a basketball game. By doing A B B A you got a guy who could slam dunk all the way across the map.
So... As near as I remember ever single player game used to come with a whole slew of "Cheats" to be used by whoever, whenever and for any reason. Commander Keen had things like screen clipping where you could fly through the walls in the level, or fly mode. Age of Empires had things where you could turn the birds into dragons, get babies on tricycles with shotguns or cars with heavy weaponry. Since when is this new? Heck I remember some games having an "I win" button. Can anyone tell me how this is different from the age old era of 286 and 386 video games? Heck now that I think about it, what about game sharks and other such devices designed to unlock cheats in the game? up up down down left right left right a b b a.
A friend of mine works for a company selling the iPhone 2. According to him if you lose your iPhone 2 you will 1. Have to pay full price to get a new one (not too surprising imo) and 2. Re-sign up for a 2 year contract... Also according to him the employees have been instructed specifically to not mention this fact to customers. Pretty screwy to me. Then again I am ignorant of how most cell phones work so I don't know if this is standard or not. I'm assuming based on his reaction its not.
