The same control theory that was developed in the tube era is applied to an even greater degree in transistor based amplifiers.
You have that backwards. Tubes are inherently more linear than transistors. Transistors have small ranges of linear operation and require complex bias control and feedback for audio use. In addition, the harmonic distortion of tubes is primarily even-order which sounds smoother than the odd-order harmonic distortion of transistors.
You are a damned liar.
No, they have a fiduciary responsibility to act in the shareholders' best interests which is not necessarily maximizing profits. It's what they sell to shareholders in their prospectus that matters. Go read Google's prospectus to see what makes them different from most other companies, particularly the sections about "privacy", "evil", "long term" and "brand".
I don't work for Google or own any part of them.
Actually, you're on to something. Stonehill College did not have a straight CS degree in 1979 although they did have a Math/CS degree somewhere around that time.
I don't know why you think pre-PC CS is irrelevant. That's just stupid.
Uhh? Who would have guessed?
You were modded up because you predicted that you would be modded down. I'll be modded down because the moderators are smarter than I am.
MIT guys are Americans? 50% maybe. And many of them aren't guys.
