It seems like any hacker can do something and claim to be part of Anonymous. Just like any middle eastern group can claim to be part of Al Qaeda or Hamas. Osama Bin Laden actually wrote that he was concerned that so many groups claiming to be tied to Al Qaeda was confusing and diluting their message and also they didn't like getting credit for shoddy or failed operations.

How about we stop sending government money to schools that keep their rates too high? Schools have found out that they can make more money if they raise their tuitions and still get money from the government. They've found out that they can keep their rates so high because they know that students can get loans and grants. Everyone complains about the 1% and high fuel prices, I say we look at the accounting books at colleges. I would say this is a better way of helping more people get into school than feeding the schools. Remember that cat or dog that arrived at your door one day when you were a kid? What did your parents tell you "Don't feed it! Otherwise it won't ever leave" and what did you do? You fed it, and what did it do? It stayed and wouldn't leave.

That's not true any more. Most of the infections we have to address at work are coming through the ad networks. A harmless site spinning content from a company that puts up anything where a check clears. Local radio stations are the worst with a little player surrounded by ads from various providers.

There's also the Farnell-owned CPC, which is a lot more open to consumers (they even have a recently expanded shop now in Preston that you can wander around and browse in) and I note that they're using the "register to express an interest" model for those who prefer that to pre-ordering.

Indeed.

Got to find it amusing that it takes in-depth research to prove the bleedingly obvious, and quite surprising that it triggered debate IMO

People rarely (if ever) get rich by being fair, honest and following the law to the letter. They get rich by being "go-getters" and not letting anything stand in the way.

It's all in getting away with it. The more someone can get away with trampling on people, breaking laws / morality etc without repercussions ("getting away with it" includes internal sense of guilt/remorse), by nature, the further they will succeed in getting what they want while others who get away with it less hold back.

You could go right the way back to cave men. The one who knocks everyone out and has the meat to himself isn't *nice*, but he's still the one who didn't go hungry.

I'd love to have one with more than 128 or 256MB ram. I wonder if the Broadcom SOC design allows for piggybacking a larger chip on top? I'm sure a model B with 1GB of RAM wouldn't be out of the question at a price point of $50. I realize we're just going more and more "I want" in price but I think it would be nice to have that extra headroom
