Nintendo Upset Over Nokia Game Emulation Video 189

An anonymous reader writes "Nintendo is investigating potential copyright infringement by Nokia during some video demos of their N900 phone, which can be seen emulating Nintendo games. Nintendo spokesman Robert Saunders says: 'We take rigorous steps to protect our IP and our legal team will examine this to determine if any infringement has taken place.' In the video, Nokia says, 'Most publishers allow individual title usage, provided that the user is in possession of the original title.'"

Based on how many copies of the previous "Sims" games have been sold I'm not sure the target audience is restricted to twelve year olds.....

I can't imagine the various broadcasters around the globe that licence the Premier League from Sky being too happy with them allowing the deal with Microsoft to expand globally...Would have thought there would some fairly detailed contract terms around certain broadcasters having exclusivity on the Premier League rights in their country.

Unfortunately people really don't like change....

I see it at work when people switch from Office 2003 to Office 2007 and spend weeks figuring out where the hell all the commands have gone....

Installed Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix on our Samsung NC10 and put it in front of my girlfriend....First comment was "Where is the E (Internet Explorer)".....second comment was "Where is MSN Messenger".....Tried to convince her to persevere with it, but she wasn't interested....
Rebooted into XP and her face lit up when the blue login screen appeared....
