Comment Finally! (Score 1) 33

This is it. The culmination of the human experience. Countless generations led us here, to this point in time -- this glorious point in time, in which man has finally done it! We can now interact with rats via robots. We're done here, humans. We've won. Anything else form here on out is just frosting on the cake.

Keep in mind, this is before the game even goes up for sale, which I'm sure will generate additional revenue. It's already a company, they have other revenue sources through sales of their previous games, etc. This is the initial investment capitol not "ZOMG we need to feed 47 people" capitol.

That mark is useless without the table that tells you what each distance represents. So on that matchstick you haven't stored data, merely a hash of that data.

Incorrect: as long as you can measure that mark as a distance with arbitrary precision you can use that to convey any amount of data. For instance, your distance could be 0.7269767679 mm, which, with a simple 1:1 dec to ascii conversion is 0.HELLO, assuming you use fractions of a millimeter for your data. See? With infinite precision comes infinite data. Infinite precision is, of course, difficult to impossible in the real world, but that's never stopped me before.

A well thought out article, though I'm not sure about your claim that polygamy creates a less warlike mentality. I've heard quite the opposite argued, in fact, that widespread polygamy makes prospective mates less common for those who have less available to offer, which leads to frustration and violence. Of course, this is just an argument I've heard, [citation needed].

Do people really hate the police that much? I mean, asking for them to get a WARRANT before they invade your invade your life? Do you have any idea how much of a hassle that is? We should just hand them over every little piece of information about our lives at the drop of a hat! It's the least we can do.
