Well the arguement goes like this, at least it did for motorcycle helmet laws. Sure if you choose not to wear one please don't, just sign a waiver you will be responsible for ALL your care in case of serious injury. I do not want to pay for your brain damage care because you CHOSE not to wear a helmet. Also we need to teach bicycle driver they are a vehicle, not a pedestrian, and do NOT have right of way like a pedestrian, at least in this state.

Well maybe if Google gave an "opt out" button so the people in the mid-east would realize the vast majority of people in the US don't care to see this video and actually think it's disgusting just like the Virgin Mary made out of tampons. I never saw that either and just like this video I hope Karma catches up to the 'artists' .

Been working in Education for the last decade and I can say give it up. I have never seen any filter work more than a day at best. Lightspeed whatever just doesn't last very long. Kids start with proxy, but quickly switched to stealing passwords. The school year is only a week old and I have already seen a fairly complete list of staff passwords and ever our sys admin password. Get a Federal approved filter and do the best you can, keeping the systems working will kill all the time you have believe me.

Agreed. Now for the tinfoil hat. We seem to have lost our will to explore space, it's not just money, people hardly care about space travel anymore. Reminds me of the Mule in Asimov the Foundation Series. Remember all the SF stories of Aliens denying us the right to space? Why send ships to stop us when just a few mental tweaks will take care of it? My only hope is breaking the heliosphere is a tripwire like the obelisk in 2001. I know I gotta turn off the TV. But Momma thats where the fun is.

Quiet computer? Well I bought a 4870, which just burned up, thank god. I got tired of leaving my computer on all night because I couldn't go through boot up without my computer sounding like a jet plane taking off and waking the whole house. At least I could control the fan in Windows for gaming but in Linux it just sat there at 5k rpm. Well at my old age I went back to school and gave up gaming, no time or money for a video card that costs as much as a console. BTW playing even WoW, or Rift at ultimate caused the card to run at 100c, scared me, probably explained the burned up board. So its win win I get to play with Linux again, and I have my day for me. No more ATI for me, second expensive card I bought from them and both didn't work out so well.
