Submission + - Google Chrome using all memory (google.com)

justthinkit writes: "Chrome using all your RAM, even when it is the only thing running?" Ok, normally this is a bug report. Send report. Wait. Problem solved. But Chrome has been doing this for quite some time. Thousands, or millions, are affected. And incredibly, there seems to be no solution in sight. Has anyone found a way around this?

Well, alcohol is a solvent like water is a solvent.

Like dissolves like. Alcohol and water are polar molecules, so those looking for their polar solvent fix could substitute water for alcohol and pocket the savings.

Traditional "solvent", like say Turpentine or paint thinner is a non-polar molecule. Used to dissolve other non-polar molecules, like alkyd paint, or grease.

(1) you didn't "fix that for me" -- you generalized it to "the world". If anything, that is an endorsement of my point.

(2) Since I didn't express my own worldview, I am not sure how my worldview could be left behind.

(3) Did I say anything was "getting worse"? If anything, things are the same as they have been for the past x thousand years.

I am leaving Slashdot as soon as subbing beta with www in the address bar doesn't work any more.

In what way should anybody be surprised that a wearable, wireless device has implemented security in a completely incompetent way?

Right. Since Fitbit wearers are the product, to a vast array of companies wanting personal information, it sounds like the Fitbit is designed exactly how they want it designed -- to increase the value of Fitbits in the ultimate marketplace.
