I also name mine after moons. Our primary server is Luna. Most of the servers are after moons of Jupiter with the exceptions of our Exchange servers. That project was shoved up our *ss so I named them with moons of Uranus.

Agreed. I've been in the business 30+ years. I've taken the certs for fun (company pays them and thought they would impress me) and passed all of them and no, they didn't impress me. I tell people none of certs impress me with the possible exception of CCIE.

The volume of spam in circulation this month was 65.9% lower than for the same period one year ago, in January 2010, when the spam rate was 83.9% of all email traffic."

The newly installed Large Row Support feature of Cassandra version 0.7 allows the database to hold up to 2 billion columns per row. Previous versions had no set upper limit, though the maximum amount of material that could be held in a single row was approximately 2GB. This upper limit has been eliminated."

Beetle B. writes "According to Saudi Arabia's leading English newspaper, Arab News, online newspapers, blogs and forums will now need to register with the Ministry of Information and Culture for licenses to operate, according to new regulations that the ministry announced Saturday it is to introduce. Abdul Aziz Khoja, minister of information and culture, said that the system is 'in line with the development moves that the media sector is witnessing.' He added that the rules do not include any clauses restricting freedom of speech and that the ministry is eager to ensure there is transparency. He also said that the rules will be made open to improvement in the future."
