I agree with the donation idea, putting it on Pirate Bay like they did with their attitude is certainly annoying.

xfce works mostly for me, though it is setup with separate X sessions on each monitor. This means, yes, separate virtual desktop per monitor, but no, apps can't cross monitors. Not a bad deal.

Really, Unity is like Old Windows back in the 90's, it's built towards simple use and does not contain anything beyond in terms of usability. One size fits all....NOT. Will leave the Microsoft bugs and evil arguments aside.

Making the decision and demanding that only producing something better is worth listening to...that's just silly.

Really it's the correct path: give something away free to get clients, then start charging when competitors are mostly dead. No real surprise.

No, not a damn wheel for a third "button", rather a good old Logitech Mouse Man. Wide, with three buttons. I'm stuck on this mouse for the simple middle button, as I use the thing all the time; opening links in new tabs, cutting and pasting text in linux xterms, etc. I can't stand the wheel as clicking with it typically moves the target, gah! Any new mice right now like this old thing? Nope.

Repeat for various schools of devices: keyboards, monitors, etc etc.

The purchase may have been ignoring Windows, but the money still paid for it and promoted it. Not a sweet deal for Microsoft, more like a sour evil they put in place long ago.

Soldering a CPU is less expensive...as long as it works.

Wasting a CPU due to a soldering issue on the other hand...not good.

I would think vendors would be against soldered CPU as well. How does on fix a poor CPU on 1000 systems? Throw them away?
