jetxee writes: Russian business newspaper "Vedomosti" reports that Russians spend the most on the New Year's day (in Russian). New Year gifts, foods and entertainment cost as much as 13% of the annual income for russian families. In Ireland it is only 4%. In absolute figures expenses are though lower: average Moscow person spends 541 euro in this month, while average irish person spends 1339 euro.
