I no longer have my PET or RadioShack Model I, but I do have my Compaq Portable III lunchbox with red plasma display. You can stay on my lawn, just grab that push mower while your standing there!

Sorry I posted the above as AC... forgot I hadn't logged into Slashdot with my new Windows 7.0 32-bit Pro install. So used to being autologged in that I forgot to check first. No problems installing 32-bit or 64-bit 7.0 Pro on former XP machines except audio card support.

But I liked writing programs for GEOS! ...once I figured out what that crazy object oriented stuff was all about. Ahh, the good old days... makes me want to go home and fire up one of my 64s or 128s and play a little.

As I said I haven't seen the movie yet, but it was said that if you didn't know about the Apartheid, as many younger filmgoers may not, you would see it as just a believeable sci-fi plot.

If you do some research into the movie you will find that it is loosely based upon the author growing up in South Africa during the Apartheid. I have not seen the movie yet, but there are supposedly many subtle references to this throughout the film. It was said that it was written to be viewed and enjoyed as just another sci-fi story, but if you looked deeper there was another message to be found.
