The store which is only on the USA site has free shipping and is offering new and refurbished Xbox and Surface products alongside accessories. Accessories offered include controllers for the Xbox 360, covers for the Surface and mice and keyboards for Windows PCs.

The new challenger to the dominance of the iPad also has the Mayday Button which enables you to contact an Amazon expert 24x7, 365 days a year to help with your tech issues, sounds great on paper but will it work in reality, thankfully its free but you do hope theres a way of turning it off just in case the children start pressing the Mayday button for fun.

YokimaSun writes: Pre-orders for Amazon’s Kindle Fire HDX have opened today in the UK ahead of the November 13th launch. The HDX comes in two versions, a 7-inch model and the larger 8.9-inch model. The tablets run the new Fire 3.0 Mojito operating system, have Wi-Fi and 4G LTE options, and come in 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB sizes. The new Kindle`s are thinner, lighter and faster and boast a display that has a pixel density of 339 ppi and 4 million pixels which is more than the latest iPad. A unique feature called ‘Mayday’, which lets users speak to a live customer service representative in a video window also comes to the HDX. The 7-inch model is £199, while the larger device retails from £329.

YokimaSun writes: The announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch was uncovered on Slashdot a few weeks ago and today for those of you living in the UK youll be the first to be able to try out the new smartwatch and its 800MHz processor, 1.63-inch display (320x320), AMOLED display with 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage. The Galaxy Gear will set you back a cool £299 but if you buy it with the 5.7Inch Galaxy Note which is also being released today both will together cost you £848 a saving of £100.

Following that the announcement of PSVita TV which will let PSVita owners play their games on a TV using a Dualshock controller, in time Sony promise that PSVita will work with all Vita, PSP and original Playstation games.

An anonymous reader writes: Not everyone can afford an iPad, a Google Nexus or even a Kindle Fire HD. So when you see an Android Tablet running v4.0 of the Android OS and selling for $58/£38, with a 5 Point Capacitive Touch Screen, 1.0Ghz 512MB, 4GB Storage, 800 x 480 pixels resolution amongst its features then surely this can be good enough to run most of the best games and emulators on Android. My question to the Slashdot faithful is would you if you were on a budget go for a tablet like the one above?

YokimaSun writes: Sony have today released their 12Gb Flash memory PS3 in the USA. The SKU was released in Europe at the tail end of last year but at that time Sony said there were no plans to release it in the USA. The new Superslim PS3 has a new internal design architecture, and removing the disc-fed tray and replacing it with a sliding top-loading disk cover, the PS3 Super Slim is reduced in size by up to 25% compared to the current Slim PS3. The 12GB PS3 is $199 compared to the former cheapest 250GB SKU which retailed at $269. Sony`s last hurrah before the PS4 Arrives ?

YokimaSun writes: Earlier in the week we posted that the Firefox OS phone was due to be released on Ebay by ZTE but at that time no date was known. Well now ZTE have gone live with the Firefox Phone on sale for $80 in the US store and £60 in the UK Store, will the phone with built in Twitter and Facebook support be any match for the IOS and Android juggernauts, time will only tell but the fact that the phone is cheap and open to all networks is an interesting start.

YokimaSun writes: Sony and Microsoft at E3 last night showed off to the world their new next gen consoles and whilst both were impressive, Sony seemed to steal the day with better decisions. First off the price of the XboxOne is $499/£429 and to be released on November 30th, the pick of the games were Halo Combat and Star Wars Battlefront. However Sony will release the PS4 in the holiday season before Xmas for $399/£349 which is a full $100 cheaper. Heres where Sony have played a master stroke, first off the PS4 will be region free, major support for indie developers, there will be no penalty whatsoever for having used games and in 2014 PS3 Games will be streamed to the PS4. Will Microsoft back track on the Used game policy ?
