They can call all they want but most companies do not provide references beyond , "yes, he worked here from a to b". Many do not provide any information at all as there is no upside for them doing so and plenty of possible downside.

Ehhh... You do realize a MacBook runs all that except visual studio natively. Vim and emacs are part of the default install. I work with developers from pretty much every industry and MacBooks are by far the dominant laptop.

My last overhaul included all new seals, replacement of a worn band, and a few other parts because of water leakage....$5500. If your wearing it every day you should get it done at least every 10 yrs. If your diving then every 5.

Why not? They should be able to melt it down and extract the gold. No jewelry is made from pure gold.

Don't forget the cost of having it overhauled. Especially if your diving with it. I've had mine overhauled twice and it's $3000-$5000 every 10 years.

And then Apple went backwards because they had to live in Windows world. Sharing files with Windows users required extensions so they gave in and went stupid.

There is no reason the OS can't show you the metadata associated with the file when you do a file listing. Also, if they are really that necessary then why can I name a Linux executable anything I want...no extension necessary. Part of the point here is that you can't trust file extensions.

Those who say Macs are immune are being stupid but to say that they are as compromised as Windows is almost equally stupid. BTW, you can set up her account on a Mac without admin rights....just like Linux.
