And then Depression quest comes and says basically "nope! indie games are now HTML files because i have relationships with kotaku",

How is that so? there are a lot of good videogames still being developed. This reminds me of people who were born in "le wrong generation" because they found out that listening to Led Zeppelin is cooler and edgier than Miley Cyrus, and they can be smug about it saying that no one makes good music nowadays which is wrong because if you don't live with your head up your ass you'll find that there are a lot of good music being made by a lot of lesser known artists

Videogames are in the same status, there is a lot of mainstream shit but it's easy to find good games focused on gameplay, and honestly I don't see how they are threatened, since following the devblogs of many cool games they don't really seem affected. And we are talking of not so indie developer studios such as Paradox Interactive, CD Projekt and Amplitude studios come just to name a few.

I don't really identify myself as a gamer, but really dude, no one is taking away the fun for you.

Sorry but I'm not a native english speaker and that sounds confusing as hell. If you guys/girls are going to do shit like that you should really come up with a new standard way to get into your language because that's not how is being thaught around the world. Or better, why not use he/she like that? Or that would offend people that identify themselves as potato?

In that case you can then add he/she/it and it's still more correct than "them".

It's important. If you don't think it is, try looking for any gendered pronoun in (say) the Eclipe Documentation [eclipse.org] (Think IBM) or in the Java Tutorial [oracle.com] (think Oracle).

So what's this:

So a performer having the role Callcenter Agent can initiate the support case management process after he has received a support call.

Being anti-corporation is one of the things that linux was founded on

[citation-fucking-needed] Seriously, why you guys pull shit like this out of your ass all the time, maybe YOU are anti-corporations but don't extrapolate your idiotic opinion to an entire collective of people that you don't represent (Linux devs). There are many corporations involved in Linux development from its very beginning Caldera, SUSE, Red Hat and many others. Luckily linux devs always thought of linux as an actual useful thing that can be used for real work, not a ego-boosting circlejerk machine for hipsters.

but you let corporations like Redhat do the same thing?

Because they are not forcing you to use SystemD, you can roll your own distro whenever you want, that's the point of Free Software. If you don't know how to do it, then you have nothing to say against those people who actually do know but don't choose to try to please you.

You can judge a person's behaviour however you like, so sure, why not. You don't have any reason to assume however that (a) that's in any way a bad thing and (b) that you can harass her.

It's a lot less far fetched than judging an entire lab for a particular person choice of clothing and making them responsible of your judgement.

this appears to be a very male dominated place where women appear to be treated as things to look at.

Yeah because that's a conclusion that one can come up with after looking at one dude shirt. Seriously, that's pretty much a non-functional and self-alienating way of seeing the world.

Seeing how other people dress and then jumping into conclusions about how it's their behavior based on that is pretty much what feminism criticized in the first place.
