Submission + - Parental Guidance needed for Bible?

wooppp writes: "In response to a recent ruling by the Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority (TELA) in Hong Kong that a students' newsletter that published a sex survey was "indecent", 1,400 complaints were lodged against the Bible shortly after...

Actually, the count should be 2,000 something as of tonight (GMT+8). TELA has made it clear that it won't submit the Bible for classification, claiming that it has been well accepted by the public, and classification is not necessary.

Looks like it could last for a while as the the Bible complaint could be leveled up to a complaint about unfair practice by TELA.

The Bible is targeted, I belive, as TELA has quite a high representation from people with Christianity/Catholic background.

The Bible won't be censored after all — I believe most who have submitted the complaints (including myself) are mocking TELA rather than hating the Bible. However, will TELA be smarter next time? The students' newsletter is nowhere near to stuff like Yale Sex Week, and frankly, no more revealing, if not more subtle, than the quotes in Bible, and it is not even a public publication!"
