It isn't. Old Tech with a new name and twist. This all has to do not necessarily with the quantum properties, but more to do with matter being super cooled . For some reason matter behaves differently as it approaches absolute zero. This is similiar to the Bose-Einstein condensate and the Meissner effect as linked above.

although it is practical in the lab and in theory, there are still problems that occur when scaling it up. Like how to keep the track cooled for example. Its still a ways off.

I'm not sure but I think this may be at the kernal level. Still Android is just a modified nix platform so for most /. Users probably easily circumvented. On another note the article didnt really say much but I love the shameless school plug and marketing in the last TWO paragraphs.

Totally for boycotting paypal. And while we are at it, the traditional banking system as well. Though the latter will have to be phased out by most ppl. As far as I'm concerned they are all in collusion and get away with financial murder. My Hydro company doesn't care what kinda business I have or what I use electricity for. I could be electrocuting my neighbour's chi wow wow or using it to power my laptop while I type out the next unification theory that unites QM and EM. Nor does my telephone company care whether I'm using their service to organize a war or to donate to mother Theresa's new fangled organization. Fzuck banks! it's about time they were brought to their knees along with the MAFIAA and Big Oil, Big Pharma and all the rest of these old school companies with their monopolies, draconian business laws and models. The revolution will not be televised, it will be digitized. Thank god I can code :)

I'm not a big fan of this new fangled cloud thingamajig. I like to keep my data local where there are no worries of lockouts on sunday mornings due to maintenance. no worries employees are pillaging through my personal photos or clandestine goverment agencies rummaging through my data, making a dossier of me to see if I'm a likely al-queda candidate or have terrorist tendencies.

That aside, The introduction of the iphone forced carriers to upgrade their services and offer better consumer experience. With the arrival of everything in the cloud, netflix, icoud etc. I only see providers as realizing they HAVE to upgrade their services and start providing more bandwidth and better customer experience. Whether the carriers and the old business model hats like it, everything is going digital or already has and they must adapt, adopt or die. I'm not worried. I won't be an adopter of this cloud thingy but I do see it as a great way to get providers off their collective ip asses and have our service improved.
