I have MSO2010 (hardly ever need it, but still) but for online collaborative editing I always use Google Docs. Both are 'free' and look OK, but I trust Google to do a better job at their search integrates with GMail so I can find relevant files in the bulk fast.

I'm willing to pay for good entertainment but on my terms. If I spend 100 euro this month on movies and series I think that's fair, but they will probably not be satisfied until I pay 100 times as much for all the other stuff I downloaded. I already pay double for TV and DVDs (with the same content), I pay tax on blank media, I pay for cinema (although I believe that is a truly separate thing I'm willing to pay for), and they also want people to pay for each new format so playing a DVD on your PSP/MP4/mobile would mean paying again (good thing that fair use is still upheld, but it illustrates how far they are trying to go). They made it illegal (via DMCA) to modify any hardware or software you own that can potentially be used to copy media (which I believe infringes on my right to do whatever they fuck I want with what I own). Furthermore it's sickening that downloading few movies can cause a lawsuit against you with a verdict that will essentially bankrupt you while those same movies can be streamed for 3 euro, the damage done to peoples lives is in absolutely no relation to their losses. And last but not least they force their commercials and other crap on you when you just want to watch what you paid for (see this chart).

No, Google does just does not really qualify as 'simple' anymore. Once too many features are added it is not the #1 simple search by de-factor elimitation. I did not claim duckduckgo is the new #1, because that is a personal preference and clearly not decided by any majority like you point out. It's just that the thing that made Google great is exactly what it sucks at now... they may still have a huge search volume (and so does Bing), but that is beside the point. People who want a basic search and get to the best results fast are looking for the next Google...

A lot of people are jumping ship to any of the large list of competitors, I personally started using duckduckgo because of the privacy and simplicity for example.

I download and watch a lot, and if it was entertaining I put it on my list of DVDs to buy... I just wait until I encounter the movie for sale in a store or a local online store other than Amazon offers it for sale and then buy the movie (most of them are still in plastic wrapping because even if I own the DVD I still watch the proper version on my PC without the commercials). I'm pretty damn sture I buy a *lot* more DVDs than most people but I would still be labeled a hypocritical pirate with cognitive dissonance by the likes of you... So you just keep accepting *your* truth that big media is getting ripped off by evil pirates like me whose arguments are all self serving and just want to screw them out of their hard earned cash, and I'll continue to believe my own truth because I care about doing what I believe is right and feel like I properly reward artists for good art (note the subtle difference from cognitive dissonance). No, it's arguably worse.

You are insane.

Wecome to slashdot, where discussing ethics with the insane is a daily sport! :)
But seriously his point makes a weird kind of sense:

Not to diminish the seriousness and trauma of rape, but generally I'd rank someone losing five years of their life as worse than a rape.

And in all probability this five year sentence can include quite a large amount of rape too... so yeah, prison time can be the worse of two evils when compared to a single instance of rape...

You can't discount all conspiracy theories like that. It is a documented historical fact that some wild stories were true (but most aren't, I agree)... The only thing conclusive for scientific people can be facts and knowledge like you point out. In the case of the moon landings the facts and knowledge are overwhelming, you have to be a nut to still claim it's all fake (but unrelated to this I would love to see pictures of a lander and flag just for fun). In the case of 9/11 on the other hand the facts and knowledge are hardly conclusive... I'm not trying to start a whole new discussion about that subject but there are enough open ends and suspicious facts to still warrant a proper investigation at what exactly went down on 9/11... The official investigation was inconclusive on some interesting details. I don't believe in wild conspiracies, but I would like to know more facts and knowledge about this important historic event that shaped the world political landscape in the past decade.

Add a proper data storage backup server (which syncs wireless from anywhere) and I would be able to work anywhere by hooking the device to any monitor. Theft or loss will not be a problem with a good semi-online backup solution and mobile really means mobile, just get up and move somewhere else without interrupting any program or logging in and pulling up all files again. Once you get proper mobile PCs with some power the need for more useful interfaces when not connected to a larger display will create a perfect opportunity to develop better speech and writing interaction because the power needed is finally combined with the necessity. This will certainly be so common it's almost boring 10 years from now, mark my words.

Also of note is that Israel is one of the few nations who have nuclear weapons and refused to sign the NNTP or cooperate with the IAEA.
