Except... we do that. The majority of Americans have not bombed a foreign country, wiretapped, whatever. Cue the cries of that though, whenever almost anything regarding the United States comes up. Reverse that with Muslims and bombings. Humans just love to blame the whole for the actions of a subset of the whole, regardless of their ability to control them, or their relationship with them.

Anyway, it isn't like business don't do separations like that just to sever themselves from the actions of their compartments...it's like bulkheads on a ship. Some accountability should slip up the chain regardless (though not laterally, sure).

Pretty much this. To be honest, even if someone were was living with and screw and getting supported by the person being reviewed, I wouldn't give a damn as long as was a fair review and it was disclosed. Like that Christian reviewer thing "A 8 for controls, a 7 for graphics, 8 for plot for a technical 8... and a -5 for sacrificing babies to Satan, for a weight score of 5.5"

Amusing how the journo sites suddenly were mostly 'all from promotion team' adverts when forced to disclose.

Maybe, but also was stated to 'get over it, put the rock down, God will deal with it, not you'. Not to take matters in your own hands. Did say to pack a sword in self-defence though, I think. One of the later parts when going out being preachy was on the to-do list.
