erikaaboe writes: New York Times political opinionator David Brooks has written an interesting piece on The Outsourced Brain that discusses how we give up our effort of remembering the necessary details of life to our devices. A decade ago, when I got my first Palm handheld, I remember the feeling if freedom that came with letting it remind me of my next meeting instead of constantly checking my watch. Coincidentally, I accidentally double clicked a word in the article which brought up a NY Times "Reference Search" window with a definition. first time that I had seen that feature. Nice.
