Comment Re:the usual question is, who will buy it? (Score 1) 393

I want to agree with you so badly but this line is unforgivable:

You wrecked the economy, crushed the housing market, and saddled me with student loans that can never be forgiven and that will garnish my wages even after death.

I don't know who you think "you" is but when I'm reading it, it's me, and I resent that you would try to blame me for these and one of them, I resent that you'd try to blame anyone other than yourself. It's unfortunate you took that approach because the rest of your post was fairly reasonable.

I agree with you, but that doesn't mean I think they shouldn't make & market them. Who knows, maybe this will turn into something I find useful in a few years. As for now, this is overpriced for its capabilities and I don't like the extreme level of vendor lock-in we're seeing here -- but other people won't mind those factors and they are welcome to be the guinea pigs!

I want to agree with you so badly because the GP is an obvious troll... but... Don't have to wait to do what until your kid is dead? There's no vaccine. Are you suggesting everyone should take their kids for asthma therapy right away?

And THAT is why it's news. Because it's a surprise and we are caught unprepared for it.
