But that doesn't mean that we are supposed to turn into Somalia.

I love how the idea of reducing the size of the federal government is always compared to Somalia. Guess what? In addition to a federal government, most people are also under a state, county, and city/township government. Removing power from the federal government isn't going to result in bands of roving warlords and pirates. It would simply shift the balance of services provided from a bloated federal government back to the state & local level, where they belong and people have more opportunity to provide input.

Let's not forget about "Space Madness!" either. As soon as someone goes looney on the voyage, it's game over, man! Game over!

However, because of the negative associations the word "hacker" has, the more mainstream name is now "makerspace" or even "createspace."

I think maker is probably a better term anyway, since people tend to associate hacker with computers/networks/software, and a lot of things makers create are more real-world physical objects. I know most of those objects involve computers & programming, but that is only a part of it. Tinker also works, but sounds more trivial than maker.

Well guess what? Maybe you should have taken a little bit of responsibility by using a condom?

That does not address the original issue. Would you find it acceptable for someone to say "Maybe you should have taken a little responsibility and not spread your legs" to a woman? If not, why is it o.k. to say that to the guy?

Birth control is a womens issue.

You won't get a judge to agree with you if you accidentally father a child.

I like how this issue is always 1-sided. It's a woman's choice if she wants to have an abortion, but the guy doesn't have a choice to not support the child if the woman wants to have it but he doesn't.

You don't need to hire experts right off the bat. What you want to hire is someone who recognizes that they don't know the answer, and tells you that, and then immediately says they'd go research it to find out. "Can I Google that?" is a perfectly valid answer sometimes.

That's good advice. In my interview at my current job, I told my boss during my interview "I don't know how to do everything, but I can figure out anything." Thus far I haven't had anything thrown at me that I can't handle, but there were a few instances where I had to do some research to be able to complete a task.
