The problem is that we know what syntax is. And we know what semantic is. However, we do not know what real pragmatics are. All we do in modeling of information is inserting human "knowledge" and understanding into a computer system. Then the system is able to reason about that, but it cannot go beyond it.

Comment What an election (Score 1) 551

Primarily it is an "election" between a right wing party and a horde of crazy people (at least form an EU perspective). And there will be no real difference in things like CO2 reduction, healthcare, immigration or any other field where there is a progressive and a reactionary position. The US will got for the latter. True our governments suck too, but that is no excuse to suck as well.

First, I doubt that it makes any real difference if you vote for "Democrats" or "Republicans". In a real democracy you would be able to vote for more than one party. From a European point of view you have only the choice between conservative and neo-liberal party and a strong right wing party. Second, the mobilizing effect within AARP might be bigger than in the FB domain.

The prime minister of Hungary wants to transform Hungary into a "un liberal" state. In short he wants to play Putin in his country. His primary goal right now is to push out any foreign investment. This new law targets that and in addition may help to control the opposition. The normal media is already under his control.
A yes and in addition Hungary is becoming more and more racist.

There are four types of stamp uses and realizations mostly used in public. For adverts, they print a tag on the advert. For business letters with these little windows, they print it in the address field. For parcels you can print out a sheet and glue it in a parcel. And for the personal letter or postcard you mostly use lovely designed stamps. As I already have a printer, why shall I buy a device for stamps? And by the way I can even send an email to the post office and they will make a letter out of it including stamps. What is now the correct advantage of this new device?

In Germany this is called FachkrÃftemangel. It is happening here for decades. However, the income of skilled workers (FachkrÃfte) has gone side ways. Therefore either all IT workers love their boss and hate money or they are idiots. It could NEVER ever be the case that there is no shortage.

On a side note: Skilled worker is a completely imprecise term.

It would also been illegal to summarize communication and send that to a third party. They could however sued him in court. To do so they would not need his present address, the state would have handled this.
