Can we just agree that all the news stations are incredibly retarded?

No, there are varying degrees of retardation.

Degrees of Retardation:
(1)"That is ONE stupid son-of-a-bitch"
...
(10)Moron in the corner drooling on himself and blaming Obama for everything wrong in this world since the beginning of time

Fox News and those that watch it, are below the bottom degree of Stupid
Somewhere around 11 or 12

Hope that helps ..

I also use M$ systems in my place of work and have for many years. My preferred OS is superior in every way to any proprietary system I've ever used, contrary to your M$ fanboi drivel.

The advantage to running Linux and BSD is they are somewhat niche systems, therefore not necessarily dumbed down for dolts like you, and therefore much less desirable for malware authors to target, although no OS is perfectly unbreakable. Your M$-xx and iOS-xx are easy targets for malware, and that is a fact, not so much on my side of the fence.

You're free to go with the majority like sheep, whatever floats you boat .. asshat!

Yep, I got an iPhone 5 when it was offered to me for no-charge with a 2 year contract. Been using it for 6 months now & in my opinion, it's the biggest POS out there. Will never have another iCrap device again & getting this thing was a mistake. I was duped

For example, It features a note pad app that deletes my notes at random intervals, usually in less time than it takes to follow up on said memo. In the settings app, everything is removed and/or locked down and/or obfuscated to the point that nothing is usable for the average intelligent human being, this coming from a Linux/KDE user that is accustomed to and expects to having access to system settings.

This thing is truly a Golden Turd. Mr Cook's take on the smart phone scene reminds me of Doris the Bowler hat & being pwned by an iPhone is like being assimilated to the Borg.

I know full well Android isn't perfect, but even a dumb phone is better than this damn thing.

I've been an M$ hater for many years now, with just cause, and will never change. They had their chance. I liked win3 - 3.11, then came win95
Ever program on a Win95 system? After spending an hour typing code, you go to save your work, only to see the system lock up and crash .. and you lose a pile of good starter code. I quickly learned to save after every line of code. Purely asinine ..

Win98 was the same thing .. but coming with new promises of improvements ..
Finally came win2k and some improvement but a whole new learning curve to install and configure properly. I reinstalled that over and over for a month until I has a system that stopped crashing

Microsoft Win-xx is the only OS that ever made me want to throw my computer out the window and go back to pencil and paper

Then I found Red Hat 9 .. Holy shit batman! This is everything win2k was suppose to be but it installed in an hour, came with all the applications I need and 'just worked' right out of the box .. perfectly!

Today I dual boot Debian Wheezy and PCBSD 10. I can emulate most of my classic rpg games on Wheezy, and use Freebsd for finance and accounting due it's security. I have one laptop that came with Vista that I use on occasion for software that is purely M$ locked in. Today M$ is dead to me and I see their fanbois as clueless 12 year olds that just don't know any better.

Falling "back to debian" translates to falling back to stability.

From time to time I give the latest release of Ubuntu/Mint another look @ to see whats happening on the bleeding edge. But every time after a few short weeks the system seems too unstable, and/or some feature/s I use gets squirrely and I end up returning to the latest Debian, currently Wheezy.

Ubuntu/Mint is what you get when you take Debian Sid, polish it somewhat, slap your name on it as yours, and throw it out there with great fanfare and media hype as the latest and greatest.
