One slight mistake, Generally speaking people that are creating content believe and follow the licenses. The lechers that contribute little to nothing to society and just expect to be given everything for free that are the ones usually pirating. However you have a solid point, if you pirate material you basically have no ground to say this guy should get anything for his works.

They should make those farms profitable. There are simple solutions.... If if live in a city, you get mail 5 days a week. You live just outside a city 3 days a week. You live in the middle of nowhere? 1 day a week. Top of a mountain? once a month. There is significant value to be able to deliver to every American house, so don't destroy that, just make people choose to live closer to civilizations to get mail faster.

Exactly, every band that doesn't sell 400,000 copies or more LOSES money for the label. Look at CD sales and you will find that most do not. So basically they give the band $350,000, the band makes nothing MORE until after the first million records. After that they make their 20%. This seems like a pretty fair deal for a 4 million dollar loan to a want-a-be rock star.

When they get a search warrant, make a copy of your hard drive and find the movie still on there. There are some people that are smart and can cover their tracks, but when piracy is mainstream, even the idiots do it. That is the real problem, it is no longer hackers that steal movies, but the average joe.

Even if they can't prove it was you the media company will just lobby for a law that declares copyright infringement from an IP address is the responsibility of the person owning the ISP account then you will be screwed.

Dear Journalists,
There are lies, damn lies, statistics and now facebook group sizes. All are meaningless but facebook groups are exceedingly meaningless. Although facebook might be the latest internet craze please get off your ass and do some real journalism. Please never quote how many people are in a facebook group again. I really don't care how many idiots clicked a viral marketing button because they have nothing better to do then drool over facebook updates all day at their computer/phone. Then again, you are probably quoting facebook because you are one of these people. Please at least stop writing for mediums outside of facebook and make the world a better place.

Thanks,

Often these aren't a single very common typo or error. They are usually 10-100 unique aspects of the file that should be different. After looking at a hundred programs, two that are the same stand out like a sore thumb.

Justice is important, any accusation of cheating should be appeal-able if they are truly wrongly accused. Most people just admit it.

Fortunately the smart usually don't cheat or get away with it. Cheating well almost always if more work then the original. Even if not, I would still probably hire a smart cheater (who takes short cuts on unimportant things) rather then a knowledgeable idiot.

This would be flagged but wouldn't pass the manual review. As a former Graduate Teaching Assistant, cheaters are easy to spot because they are LAZY! The only good way to cheat is to make sure every things is perfectly correct and has no identifying characteristics.

Yeah, buy you apparently play by the rules and only consume what is given away for free (or what you paid for). The problem is that most people see that some music is given away for free and then suddenly the demand that all their music is free. It isn't, but that doesn't stop them from pirating it. If you don't like the business model, don't consume their content, especially by pirating it. Choose to consume content that has a good business model, like the parent poster consuming free content. If you think the free stuff sucks, then pay for the good stuff.
