Submission + - GTA4 teaches seriousness of road accidents (1up.com)

spyder-implee writes: On August 27th, 11-year-old Audrey Plique and her family were riding in their 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee when all of a sudden it swerved off the road, hit a guardrail, and flipped four times, caving in the roof and knocking out the back window. Her mother, Karen Norris, believes Audrey's experience as a gamer aided her in this unexpected incident. "She just knew, from playing Grand Theft Auto. She saw on there that when a car rolls over, it can blow up. She knew that could happen to us." Norris adds, "She showed the kind of bravery and courage you don't expect from an 11-year-old. She stayed composed. She sounded upset, but she knew the things she had to get done to help her parents and siblings."
