You're not alone......I've been out here for twenty seven years with depression and it's been tough dealing with "drones" that just can't seem to understand that all people just can't think like them, especially in Corporate environments. I wish you all the best and luck in finding co-workers that aren't self immersed.

The key is not meeting your SLA's and showing them why it's staff related... The old days of over inflating staff numbers so you're ready for any emergency is over in this day and age of cost cutting to keep profits up or costs down. Basically, people like you deserve better, and will never get it (hope I'm wrong there) because we're the real deal and not just lazy hack that doesn't give a crap about what their job entails. Most of my underlings won't do anything coming even close to troubleshooting at home since they do that at work, kind of a race car driver not driving his own home car....you get the picture.

I probably won't live long enough to see the cloud fail, and get shredded to bits over security, performance and privacy concerns but I hate it when I remember who runs the show, the money and corps, not the technologists that see the train heading for the brick wall. Technology might have been brought forth to make our lives better, it was indeed funded to create more wealth for the yada yada yada.... I need to retire soon but I'm not obsolescent quite yet.

Yeah, nice words but history has a way of showing how badly it ends for those who are the first challengers to authority...they are literally forgotten for fear of their existence creating an uprising....kind of like those Black Panthers that almost all died in Jail for calling for a Black Homeland in the US, a piece of Utah segregrated. I think only one still lives, and is still incarserated as a Political Prisoner.

Then you do it....you shallow selfish brat..... Putting aside all delusions, we all have to live in some respect a "normal" life. What's really pathetic is a "Heroine" being crapped on because she needs a break.
