Which probably explains why Merkel is moving at a breakneck pace to put a referendum on EU membership in front of German voters.
Oh, wait: she isn't. Probably because she's kind of a statist tool, like the rest of the Eurocrats.

I'm sincerely seeking the ultimate truth. I've laughed at your pure "Argument Clinic" approach before. I mean, if you've actually got the ultimate truth, trot it out, man! The worst question I have for you is "Why?", which any ultimate truth should absorb handily.

Which do you prefer, the fiction of wishful thinking and longing for a past that exists only 19th century novels, or the facts of the here and now and ensuring your children will be better off than you are?

A new claim! What 19th century novels, exactly, am I living in? Is it Dickens?

*sigh* It's always about ME, isn't it? It really never is about you. I'd cheerfully trade up from the faith I have to a superior offering.
But all we get from you is snide insinuations of inferiority. It's as if you were just s theological Three Card Monty dealer, or something.

A good game should have simple rules, but hard to master.

Chess has the maximum amount of rules for a game.
Most casual game players the rules need to be simple as they can start playing quickly. Without feeling like an idiot. However even though the rules may be simple, there is a lot of different strategies to try to win.

I think the biggest problem is the idea of Ranking.
US #1, is China going to take our #1 spot.
That is really the wrong worry.
China is the size of the US it has 10x the population. China on paper should be able to beat the US handedly for #1 position. But what is it doing wrong where it isn't.

But instead of fighting for #1 spot (which often means trying to knock others down) the goal should be growth at a sustainable rate. So if the whole world has an average of 5% unemployment like the US, the US may not be #1 but over all we will be better off as there would be such a large customer base.

Netflix plays at 1x speed. For some things that's ok, but for anime especially, i don't think i could survive it. I usually watch subbed, between1.3x and 1.77x. I also want to watch interesting lectures (online universities) whilst riding on my bike, but they switch the format to multiple videos of a few minutes each, which doesn't work so well for these ends.

I don't really watch recent tv shows, unless they really catch my eye. Recently, saw once upon a time and arrow, both which had great first seasons (well, ouat was great, arrow was just good enough to watch) but bad second seasons. Flash was unwatchable even in the first season. At least bad movies are fun to watch to some extent (special effects, short story) and that's where netflix ought to come in.

I just need to take a break from playing games now and then. :)
