That DC10 was designed to hit geese without sustaining damage. You think a 1 kg drone is going to do anything?

Besides, those retardant drops don't do anything other than provide fertilizer for plant recovery the next year. Fires burn out when they burn out - the guys on the ground and air have little impact. (Note: I worked over 100 major forest and range fires. Only 1 was not caused by logging or over-grazing.)

Glass - rarely cost effective because it requires more energy to recycle than create new. It's also great in a landfill because its inert. Quit wasting energy trying to recycle it.

Paper - ok, then sort into cardboard, print, and "burn".

Metal - best recycling because it takes 1/20th the energy vs new mining, not to mention reducing pollution.

Plastic - burn it with plasma. Seriously. It's never been recyclable. Otherwise it ends up shredded and burned in unfiltered coal fire electrical plants in China.

Recycling has to be cost effective. Otherwise you're just throwing money at a problem that ends up burned in someone's gas tank further down the supply chain.

A good cost analysis is never difficult. A 3 sort recycle also clears everything up - metal, plastic, paper. Glass goes in the garbage and food goes in the compost.

If you want to take that a step further than send all paper and plastic to local plasma furnaces. Heck, they even take dried bio waste such as lawn clippings.

Just because this big rock we're on can survive doesn't mean we will. Climate Change will happen. We'll adapt or die. The rock will keep spinning. So... the "its happened before" argument is irrelevant... we know we've caused the recent one by increasing CO2 by 40% and measured its affects.

What's hard to predict - and trust - are other people's future projections. We don't trust politicians. Too many scientists have too many private grants (indirect bribes). TV doesn't have anything factual on it any more. The only thing we can really trust - and affect - is what's right in front of us.

You won't find a good job. You'll have to get in somewhere and work your way to a good job. Don't "put your time in", but work hard and work smart. Keep learning, keep taking on new responsibilities, stay sharp and dependable. We get "promoted" to what we've already taken on and are doing, not something that someone up above thinks we have potential to do.
