Submission + - Netflix Listened! They are keeping profiles!

MrTester writes: About a week ago I was distressed to hear that Netflix was eliminating profiles ,a feature that I use and like. I did what I rarely do, and fired of an email to Netflix stating my dissapointment. Much to my surprise, I just got an email stating "You spoke, and we listened. We are keeping Profiles. Thank you for all the calls and emails telling us how important Profiles are. We are sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused. We hope the next time you hear from us we will delight, and not disappoint, you. -Your friends at Netflix." What? I wrote an email to a large corporation to complain and within 2 weeks they not only changed their course, but they also took the time to respond to those that complained? Obviously this is a nefarious plot to boost expectations which will later be shattered.

Submission + - Too good to be true? Probably

MrTester writes: This is an artical about an Irish company that claims to have created a free energy device. http://www.physorg.com/news75115456.html
From the article:
The company, Steorn (http://www.steorn.net), says its discovery is based on the interaction of magnetic fields and allows the production of clean, free and constant energy — a concept that challenges one of the basic rules of physics.
They are challenging scientists to disprove them so they can enter the market with some level of credibility. I cant bring myself to submit my email to recieve updates on this (available from their web page here: http://www.steorn.net/ ) because I cant help but think there is something else going on here.
