The show "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" covered this subject a while back, sort of.

There are organizations who record essentially all the news, and have people catalog it and tag it etc., and have been doing this for a very long time. So if for example The Daily Show wants to do a bit where they show 50 different local news reporters reading the same phrase from some AP story they all ran, they just go to the news catalog people and say "give me all the clips from the last 2 days containing [whatever phrase]."
There was a news story about the whole process a few days ago, but ironically I can't remember where I saw it and I don't have it recorded.

You can actually get EMF-blocking windows. I lived in an apartment building that was built to one of those new LEED Green Building standards, and it had special windows to block out heat from the Sun or something. Also concrete walls. TV reception was completely blocked, but as soon as you opened a window, channels came in perfectly clear.

If your connection is optical all the way to your home router, then you have a fiber internet connection, not a cable internet connection.

Yes, but most apps are written incorrectly (they don't ask for permissions in a try/catch block), so for example when I told my ROM not to let Facebook access my GPS, the Facebook app would simply crash on opening.
This will only really work if it's a standardized OS-wide feature.
