No, they most certainly do not. My system is 5 years in age and has no IDE ports whatsoever, only USB, SATA, and e-SATA.
My wife's is 1 year in age and also has no IDE.

Try AdFree, AdAway, or minminguard (an Xposed module).
I believe the first two require full root, the module works with either temproot or full root.
Minminguard blocks the API calls in apps directly, so they can't even call for the ad download (thus no ads get downloaded period).
AdFree and AdAway work with the HOSTs file, so it is also recommended to have a HOSTs editor of some sort if you need to manually make adjustments.
I use AdFree and see very minimal amount of adverts - on the mobile version of Slashdot for instance, I only get the static ads in between the post and the comments section, and none of the annoying, moving, flashy, sound-filled ads.
I think they have an E series Ideapad, so it is probably that.
There's nothing they can do. Every measure so far they've implemented to filter out trolls has been side-stepped entirely within seconds by the likes of GNAA or Baphoment.
I've found that on any flavor of Unix-like OSes (that aren't on mobile devices), that the only semi-reliable way to get Amazon Instant Video to work properly is to use the nVidia binary-blob over any of the other open drivers, unfortunately. I believe there are still proprietary licensing issues when it comes to the open AMD and Intel drivers that cause HDCP to go wonky at times due to the "incomplete" way it had to be implemented.
Your mileage may vary of course, but at least on the hardware that resides in my home, this is and has been the case for several years now.
To keep it in perspective - we should have gotten everything published up to 1958 (music, movies, books, etc) on January 1st. Due to the ridiculous theft from the public domain from copyright rent-seekers, we didn't get a single published work entered into the public domain this year. Not one.
Total sale amount, tax amount, location, time of day, other telemetry data, age of purchaser, name of purchaser, address of purchaser, address of the location, etc of the shop where the purchase was made, and of course Apple's own cut of the deal. There's probably more involving the back end of your banking facility, such as which bank and/or account was used to make the purchase during the transaction.
That's what I can think of off of the top of my head.
They don't even need to do that. All they need to do, is get together with their counterparts in the CIA, FBI, etc, decide exactly what they need and want to happen, then take it to the Congressional Intelligence and related committees to make it happen.
We've already seen at least the FBI chirping in on this with commentary about Apple/Google and their upcoming mandatory default encryption on phones.
Theyapparently targeted the XboxOne portion of the Live sign-in (yes, the 360 and One have different sign-in servers). Many people with 360s that I know were able to use the services just fine the entire day.
Kek, and double-kek. Yet it's the feminist hate brigade who has been the ones getting women fired and chased out. Nice try, DrTroll.
One of her neighbors allegedly videotaped the entire affair from the time the police showed up until well after they left, and said Wu apparently never once left the premises, and then went on to do that television interview directly from her house.
Not anymore. The ISPs got rid of that pesky problem by bribing FCC officials with cushy jobs and fat salaries after their terms ended to change them from Telecoms to Information Services, which have no such "draconian" restrictions on them.
It's the MPAA pushing for this. Google has recently decided that they will cease any and all cooperation with this entity, and instead work on more feasible and sane measures with the individual studios.

Mind you, this is a fresh installation of ABP for Chrome, essentially. Only one month old. On my venerable Firefox installation, I am over 20 million ads blocked. I also use a HOSTS file, so there's quite a bit filtered at the gate so to speak.
I block any and all ads, I don't care what site it is. Too many incidences of malware infestations and remote pwning via malicious scripts in ads for me to make any other choice.
Usually only when it involves an nvidia or AMD GPU driver
