I AM NOT ADVOCATING THIS. You just asked what problems it solves and someone asked how will they force people to get new guns.

Those are the problems I see as preventable by the ALLEGED features of this technology. (I am pro RKBA). They happen, I am not sure how many per year. (Honestly I don't care, because my guns are secured)
It is not going to stop most mass shootings, murders, negligent discharges, ...

It solves (probably poorly) the problem of police officers being shot with their own guns and kids getting shot by guns their stupid parents left accessible.

They just need data, yahoo can then process it and build up an accurate model of you. People are more honest on tumblr...

They will gather information about you on tumblr and sell ads on other sites. So this is the best route for Tumblr to become profitable without losing "street cred" (So lame that that is a business term)

I don't think doing something horrible to an individual qualifies as terrorism. In my day we call those people criminals.

Why do we tolerate this bullshit? Religion is a mental illness that requires institutionalization, so the diseased don't harm others. Only when it can be shown that individuals are not a danger to the community should they be released and placed on a public list like sex offenders (obviously there is a lot of overlap between the two)
