Journal Journal: Anyone know a good book for Programming in VB?

I am exploring a few opportunities career-wise and one of these includes software development using VB.Net. I have a pretty good background in OO programmming in Java and have dabbled lightly in the "old" VB. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good VB.Net book for an experienced programmer? I have looked through Amazon's reviews but I just was hoping someone might have a receommendation based on their experience. I am hoping to get some insight into client/server programming, working with DBs, and maybe some UI stuff.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Journal Journal: Children are Great 9

Today was my daughter's six-month Doctor's appointment and shots. It is so mind-blowing to see how much she has grown in six months. My wife and I have taken pictures EVERY day since our daughter was born and it is cool to see the gradual change in her. I cannot say enough times how wonderful parenthood is and how much I love my little girl. Every time you think she can't amaze you more, she does something else that just gives me a grin from ear to ear. Before my daughter came along, I believed I couldn't love anyone as much as I love my wife. That all changed when my daughter came along. I don't mean to say that I love my daughter more than my wife... I just cannot put into words the difference. There is just something a little different and a little more special about the love you have for your children. I guess it has something to do with the way she smiles when she sees me get home from work of when I get her out of her crib in the morning. It just makes me want to do everything I can to help her grow up the best way possible, but at the same time there is a part of me that never wants her to grow up because I love and enjoy the stage she is at so much right now.
